Miller Homes purchase first phase of significant new housing development in Bedfordshire
A new housing development in Central Bedfordshire has moved a step closer after Miller Homes purchases a 15.54 acre (6.29 hectare), 200 home site at Chase Farm in Arlesey.
The deal has been agreed on behalf of owners Central Bedfordshire Council and promoters TT Group advised by Savills Cambridge.
TT Group secured outline planning permission in 2018 for the 950-home development at Chase Farm in Arlesey.
Along with the new homes, the final development will also include an 80-bed care home, primary school, up to 7,000 sq m of employment space and up to 6,500 sq m of retail. There will also be a hotel and a doctors surgery along with leisure and community facilities including cycle and walking routes, sports pitches and play areas.
The development has been designed with placemaking at its heart bringing much needed homes and community facilities to the area.
Jonny Pitts, Planning and Disposal Director at TT Group commented:
“This is an important development for Bedfordshire and we are really pleased with the sale of the first phase to Miller Homes. The design will create a fantastic new community for people to live and work with a placemaking approach benefitting all.”
