TT Group supports Gloucestershire County Council with the opening of their new warehouse for Ukraine Humanitarian relief
TT Group has let, on a temporary basis, an industrial unit at Chancel Close to Gloucestershire County Council to support the Council’s Ukraine Humanitarian relief effort. The new location has been set up after the use of a previous warehouse came to an end.
As part of the arrangement, the Council will be paying a nominal amount to cover the service charge and insurance. Donations for Ukraine, collected by organisations and individuals across Gloucestershire, are being gathered at the warehouse.
Gloucestershire county council leader, Cllr Mark Hawthorne, told BBC Radio Gloucestershire: "When we heard the [previous] warehouse agreement was coming to an end, we said we'll step in and find you a new home so that they can continue to do the amazing work that they're doing, helping this really important cause."
The Council is working closely with the Gloucester Polish Association and the Ukrainian church.
Cllr Alastair Chambers has already been out to Ukraine with a lorry load of aid from the city. He said: "We are going to be accepting donations on the door. We're all working together, it's fantastic."
