TT Group Volunteers Transform an Accommodation Project in Support of St Mungo’s
On Friday 22 of November a spirited group of volunteers from TT came together for a day of painting, decorating, and community building. Partnering with St Mungo’s, this effort was part of the “Pride in Our Places” initiative, aiming to enhance the communal spaces of the hostel while fostering a sense of care and belonging.
St Mungo’s provides critical support to people experiencing homelessness with a focus on developing skills and employment, helping them gain the confidence needed to thrive independently within the community.
TT Group’s volunteers helped with painting and decorating the communal space of the hostel. The building is split into five blocks, volunteers were painting one of the blocks including hallways and staircases.
Jay Hunt, Head of Partnerships St Mungo's said: 'I'd like to say a massive thank you on behalf of St Mungo's to all of the team from TT who volunteered with us as part of Mitzvah Day again this year. This annual day of volunteering has such a positive impact and this year was no different! The team worked so incredibly hard to transform a tired looking space back into a fresh and inviting home. The clients who live at the service and the staff on the day were so pleased with, and amazed by, how much the team managed to get done. Thank you so much for giving up your time to help out and for sticking it out longer than planned to get the job finished. What a fantastic and dedicated team!'
Meshal Mirza, HR Advisor at TT Group added 'I’m really proud of everyone involved for giving their time and energy to make a real difference. The team took on the challenge of painting an entire block as part of a project to improve living conditions for residents and their support team. This event highlights TT Group’s commitment to making a meaningful difference in the community. Thank you to everyone who contributed to this inspiring project'.
